We are pastor-led,
Committees are practical ways of organizing believers to carry out specific tasks. When committees function properly under the Lordship of Jesus, they are a great gift to the church.
We value the work of committees and each person who serves. To help you better understand the various roles of these positions, use the drop down menu on this page to read a description for each committee. Then, test your knowledge of each committee by working through the assessment page.
Committees generally meet the Tuesday before the second Wednesday of each month. Committees may meet at other times as needed to carry out ongoing or urgent work (either in person, on the phone, or by email). These meetings and contacts should be cleared through the office first.
Regular business meetings are held quarterly on the second Wednesday of January, April, July, and October. Special business meetings are called as needed and as specified in the church’s bylaws.
It is important to note that the PASTOR is ex-officio of ALL committees. Each committee is responsible for keeping the pastor in the know of their operations and decisions. At times, the pastor will rely upon his designated liaison to represent him in committee work.
For an orientation to each committee, use the drop down menu on this page. Each committee page also has its own assessment (quiz!) to help you discover key points about that specific area.
